One of America’s most significant challenges is healthcare, and access to healthcare is a huge issue in the lives of millions of Americans, affecting everything from employment and career decisions to financial stability to simple matters of human dignity.
Texas is the least insured state in the country, and is currently one of the few remaining states that have not adopted Medicaid expansion. Lack of access to healthcare hurts our economy, makes life unnecessarily difficult for families, and endangers our children. Additionally, there are unnecessary restrictions on Texans’ access to reproductive healthcare and sex education.
Jennifer Skidonenko believes that Texas must expand Medicaid and provide access to healthcare for as many Texans as possible. Jennifer will expand healthcare for all texans by working to provide services to veterans, increase mental health services, offer services to children with special needs, and expand access to reproductive healthcare and abortion. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and Jennifer will work hard to get Texans the medical care they deserve. Our laws should promote and safeguard Texans’ health by increasing options and insurance coverage.
